Living in a dot com world and it still took me this long build a website.

Seems outrageous since I’ve been working in new media, nearly 100% online for 3 years, but I guess I’m not one to rush into things. I made a resolution this year that I would buy a domain and learn enough HTML to build and maintain a site by myself. I registered www.excessanddoess.com (X’s and O’s) on Wednesday, January 29, 2003 and Jef recommended a program called CoffeeCup HTML Editor for the initial programming. I was able to download it for free for 45 days, and so far it’s working out pretty well. It walked me through just enough to get started and then forced me to figure a lot out on my own - which, in the end - is probably a very good thing.

That’s about all for now. Check out the pictures section - there are a lot of good ones from Thanksgiving and Christmas, and a few random favorites as well.

Oh! And don’t forget it’s Jen’s birthday on February 7 - everyone send her an email or give her a call. :)
