So I decided to be a bum on Friday night and not go out on the town with Tim and Liz because a) I felt guilty going out and spending money when I have no job and b) I was kind of looking forward to a boring, nondescript night. I achieved both, and they had a great time at the B-Side - I kind of think they got the better end of the deal. :) Met up with ex-eMedian Cherie Hamilton on Saturday (pretty cool to have another friend in Austin) and we did a little shopping and catching up. I discovered Garden Ridge - kind of Bed Bath and Beyond meets Party City meets Dollar Store. Didn’t buy anything (again w/ the no job thing), but did see a few things I’ll be picking up as soon as I’m employed. :) Afterwards, I decided to NOT be a bum two nights in a row and headed out to a place called Love Joy’s to meet up with a group of Tim’s friends. Cool place, I dug it alot. Laid back, not too loud, pool tables, local art, good beer - it worked for me. I have to laugh though, I don’t think I told one story that didn’t involve Jef in some way or another, but at least I got out of the apartment and met some new people.
