I know… I’ve been slackin’ on the updates. Here are some things I’ve been doing the past few weeks.

- Saw Guster at a place in Austin called Stubb’s BBQ. The venue was very cool, Guster rocked and it was the perfect night for an outdoor show. It was all good.
- Discovered South Congress street in Austin - a long, funky strip of vintage, antique, unique, random shops. Very yummy.
- Got over my phobia of driving downtown. I had become pretty darn familiar w/ the outskirts of town, but had very kristin-ish-ly shied away from downtown Austin. Still don’t know it 100%, but I feel I can get around for the most part w/out getting completely lost.
- Applied for about a million jobs. Still getting used to unemployment and just exactly how I’m supposed to be going about the job search thing. I decided after virtually no call backs I was probably doing something wrong. Sigh. Oh well… just chalk that up to the learning curve, I guess.
- Did my taxes. Yuck. No explanation necessary.
- Eaten more BBQ than I care to mention. My whole “I don’t eat a lot of red meat” credo has pretty much gone out the window.
- Read 8 or 9 books. Seriously. It’s all I do anymore.
- Had an unpleasant encounter with a bug. Jef has the IM thread, I’ll post it when I get it from him. Go ahead and laugh. I don’t do bugs.

Going to a Nooner show tonight. That should be a good time. I imagine there will be pictures. Check back tomorrow. Or if my next update is like this one, check back in a few weeks. ;)

SMILE. xoxo. ~kristin
