Photo Books
It all started with a post on Electrolicious about photo books. I read Ariel’s blog about every day, and her product recommendations are usually right up my alley. I was aware of the concept, but never thought much of ordering one. Usually a price issue - I’ll order a selection of my favorite digital prints at $0.25 each, but a $20 or $30 bound book didn’t seem practical. But I was curious. Pair my curiosity with her recommendation AND a $20 coupon to MyPublisher she sent (leaving me only to pay shipping - $4.95!) and I was sold . I ordered a PocketBook with pictures from the WFFC. I was concerned that the layout I designed wouldn’t work great for the small size of the book (6×8″), but it arrived today and my fears are put to rest. I love it. The quality is good, not brilliant, but to quote Ariel herself “I would rather print the photos up in a half-notch-below-professional book to share than be such a stickler for photo-perfect quality that I end up never getting the photos off my computer.”
If you want to try it out, MyPublisher is still offering the $20 off coupon for referrals. Shoot me an email (or leave a comment w/ your email address) and I’ll send you the coupon. Can’t beat free stuff.
