The AIA (Austin Indie Alliance) setup camp at the Dizzy Rooster this year for SXSW. I had a wristband, but the few shows I wanted to see were nearly impossible to get into w/out a badge (Mike Doughty, The Donna’s, Aimee Mann, etc.), so I didn’t often wander far from home base. It was a looooong (and LOUD) four days, and the rock was definitely brought - my ears were ringing through yesterday as proof. Hightlights of the weekend include The Van (mmmmmmmm), Nooner’s DAY show (w/ the power surges, their creative cover ups and Chris’ rockstar double parking - awesome. Check out their full SXSW tour diary here), Bag 100, Goodwin (they don’t cuddle), The Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players, Nooner’s NIGHT show, Lonestar Pornstar and my final show of the week - Amy Correia’s accoustic set on the 18th floor of the Crown Plaza (a panaramic view of the city and about 30 people sitting around on the floor). What a way to close the week.

My full gallary of pics is here. Be sure to also check out Ben and Christine’s.
