You Cooked Her Nines!
Well, hurricane Rita bypassed Austin - we’re all safe n’ sound and sending our prayers towards the gulf coast. Although in it’s wake, or lack of hitting Austin-ness, we have heat. Allow me to be dramatic for a sec (and yes, I realize, totally selfish because I still have a roof over my head, a laptop that isn’t under 6 feet of water, power to said laptop and running water, but) - OH MY GOD, HORRIBLE, SEARING-MY-BRAIN HEAT. I love Austin, but I’m headed to NY for a wedding this weekend, and I can NOT wait. It was 107 degrees yesterday. ONE HUNDRED AND SEVEN.
!!
I don’t have anything else to say. The heat has cooked the rest of my blog post. And my nines.

Aren’t you glad you can say you were here for record-breaking heat? It’s never been this hot in the 100 years of record keeping, according to the weather dude on Channel 36.
Okay, NOW Colorado is looking good….

107? That’s it? It was 115 here in DFW the other day….with just as much humidity. Bah…
Of course, it sucked horribly, and you’re right that NY is sounding good. On the plus side, the heat wave is supposed to dissipate. So hopefully it won’t be a problem in the next few days!
Cheers!

Oh, yes, Lisa… I’m soooo glad I’m here for the record breaking heat. ;) I heard that NY is 70s in the day and 50s at night. Thats a FIFTY degree drop! I might go into shock.
