Fresca
Among the list of things I love (a list which includes Wikipedia and those items over there –>) is Fresca. Remember Fresca? Citrus soda w/ no calories or sugar or much of anything besides it’s carbonated goodness. When I mention it, people usually say “It’s not 1970, you don’t have to drink that anymore.” But I persist, I’ve been hooked since a prior roommate stocked our fridge with it and now my fridge never goes without it. The reason I bring it up is because the last 12-pack I bought looked very different than the one before. Coca-Cola has decided it’s time for it’s first re-design since 1995 (the prior design being the one I have grown to know and love). I understand brands need to go through this, freshen up the image so it’s no longer associated w/ the 1970s… but I worry for my beloved soda. Will this turn the masses against it? Will they think it’s a cheesy ploy to make it seem more techy and hip w/ it’s trendy logo font and dot matrixy circles? Will they turn to Sprite Zero instead? The sheer thought is blasphemy. Go retro, even if it doesn’t look retro anymore.

I miss Crystal Pepsi… I was probably the only one that drank it, as it disappeared like the proverbial virgin on prom night, but dammit if that stuff wasn’t tasty…
That’s all I have to say about that.

And because I had NO idea what Crystal Pepsi was, Tim schooled me w/ my own favorite website - Wikipedia. :)

NOW I remember this stuff. And Tim - my friend, Zach, also admits to being heartbroken when it was discontinued, so you weren’t the ONLY one.

I think we need some sort of support group for berieved fans of Crystal Pepsi…
