Done!
We’re moved! Sunday was a loooooong day. We hired movers, a company I’ve used before, and while they work their asses off when they get there, they have serious issues GETTING there. They were three hours late, so our 12:00 appoinment turned into a 3:00, and we were done a little after 6. I hated telling them that I’d have to stop recommending them, but until they change their scheduling system, it just doesn’t seem honest. The good news is, their delay gave us time to do the little things we were going to have to come back and do after work this week, like take down the ceiling fans and get all the nails out of the walls. A little lemonade out of lemons thing.
So we’re now officially IN the house and have no idea where anything is. Other than Jef’s stuff is on the left side of the garage and mine’s on the right.

Your experience was near-*exactly* the same as mine… I used the same lemons-to-lemonade strategy: getting more stuff boxed at the last minute.
But isn’t it great to at least be IN?

Oh, we talked about you, too! Good and bad. :) The BAD was that I said I’d referred them to a bunch of people, and that I was probably going to slow down on that. The GOOD was that he remembered your move (of course) and we joked about how you’d said something about “and this little guy moved my stuff BY HIMSELF and FAST!”. He laughed. I think it made him feel proud. They are GOOD guys. The labor part is top notch, their customer service just needs some work.
And yes, it feels SO GOOD TO BE THERE!! :)
