Disney was awesome, pictures will be posted soon. I didn’t have the energy last night since we got in late due to weather delays, and walked into a million-degree house because our AC broke at some point while we were away. Really? At midnight after a vacation? Couldn’t wait until tomorrow? Because we really want to go to sleep and instead we’re driving to Wal*mart for fans. Do you know the kind of people that shop at Wal*mart at midnight in Texas?

In the meantime, a couple take-aways from Disney if you go as an adult…

1. Bottled water. They don’t care if you bring it in the park and they charge an arm and a leg for it if you don’t. We went thru a LOT of it because it was so hot, so it was a GOOD tip - thanks, Ben!

2. Go in the off-season. We knew it would be busy, but went anyway because Jef was there for work.

3. Get a park-hopper pass. We figured there would be enough to see at each park that we wouldn’t need to jump around during the day. Maybe if you have kids, but as adults, we flew the parks and were ready to do something else by mid-afternoon. A park-hopper pass would have allowed us to do more parks and maybe see some of the night events and not just go back to our room.

4. Stay at the Disney resorts for their awesome shuttle services, but go Mid-Class if you can. The Budget resort was clean, but the walls were paper thin and there are definitely no extras. We knew a LOT about our neighbors by the end of the weekend, and they probably knew more than their share about us. Overall, it was friendly, but loud.

5. Fast-pass. Holy awesome invention. Fast-pass is where you swipe your ticket and get a pass to come back later, and bypass a looooong line. Jef and I would arrange our entire day around these and only waited in line if it was less than 30 minutes. :)

We had a GOOD time. Having no idea what to expect, our days were filled, we were never bored and we only got a little sunburned. It’s a BIG place, and really overwhelming. I feel like you almost need to go for a short vacation to get ideas for the longer, real vacation later.
