Some random notes…

1. Today I had to go to a work lunch at a ’sushi-buffet’ in San Antonio. Take a minute to process that sentence. I’m picky with food, and even pickier with sushi, so eating it at a place with ‘buffet’ in the title wasn’t gonna happen. I had egg rolls and diet coke. :)

2. On the highway, my friend and I saw a pinata in the back of a truck that looked like it was wearing a pope hat. It wasn’t the pinata in the truck that was odd, you see a lot of those in Texas. One time I saw a truck filled ENTIRELY with pinatas. That must have been the happiest truck ever. So it wasn’t the pinata that was odd, it was the hat. Where do you think it was going? Was it really the pope? We almost followed them, but I had to get home to take Jef to the airport, and it’s almost better not to know. Keep the mystery alive.

3. Later when trying to explain said pinata to Jef he could NOT understand what I was trying to say.
“A pinata in a pope hat”
“A what?”
“A pinata in a pope hat”
“A popat?”
“A pope hat”
“Whats a popat?”
“A POPEHAT”
“WHATS A POPAT?”
We were saying the EXACT same thing, so neither of us could understand what the confusion was. It still makes me giggle. A popat. Dorks.
