Cute Overload
Awhile back one of my trusted blogs said one of her new favorite sites on this big, wide internet was Cute Overload. She gives me links of gadgets and tech news and entertainment, and then all the sudden one of her FAVORITE sites is a collection of cute animal pictures? Come on! But I added it to my RSS feeds… and …. now I’m addicted. I get overwhelmed every day w/ trade news and hollywoood gossip and techy stuff and then all the sudden there’s this random feed w/ freaking adorable diversions. Add it to your feeds, or your favorites, people. I dare you. I bet it’ll quickly become a guilty pleasure.

Honestly, how do you get anything done? I can barely keep up with the 7 or 8 blogs I read on a regular basis (not to mention the hollywood gossip, real estate listings, bonsai forums, and flickr!), I can’t even imagine starting up the whole RSS feed deal!

Ha! RSS feeds HELP me get things done. I have one site that I check ALL my sites, so I don’t have to go traipsing all over the interweb for my gossip and news. Some days I don’t feel like reading Dooce, or Entertainment Weekly, so I skip those, or skim the titles, and the stories that interest me, I actually open the site. It’s actually faster than going to all the sites individually. What IS a little time consuming is setting up an initial feed, but once that’s done, it’s just a matter of adding sites as you come across them.
