Have you guys noticed that I seem to only be posting on weekends? I’m trying, but still working out the whole job-work life cycle.

I’m totally exhausted of costumes and Halloween and it’s only October 29th. I went to two parties last week, with two totally different costumes. The first was my company’s annual Halloween theme party - this year they went “late 70s, early 80s.” I think I was a decade behind, but who cares! I found a dress at Goodwill and when I showed Jef he said “I can’t believe you’re going to spend a whole $6.00 on that.” I started calling it the pink nightmare. But I had a vision. I ended up cutting several feet of fabric off, fixing some broken seams, babying the zipper and in the end, about 20 minutes before the party, it came together. I might even wear it again someday, NOT as a costume. It’s also pretty bad-ass of my company to throw their big annual party at Halloween, and not during the ‘real holidays.’ We were allowed to invite friends, and mine said yes before I had the phrase ‘open bar’ fully typed in the invite.

The second party was at my friend’s cousin’s house. A few of us went in on an “Alice in Wonderland” theme. We had Alice (of course), the Queen of Hearts, the Cheshire Cat, the White Rabbit and me, the Mad Hatter. It was pretty cute. Although, unless I was with the rest of the group, I felt a little like Tom Petty. Or Bo Jangles.
