This is Buster, the new dog we’re ‘dating.’ He’s a one-year old Papillon-Chihuahua mix. He’s staying at our house for the weekend to see how we all get along and and if want to make it a permanent thing. Jef and I are pretty smitten and Lucy loooooves him, they’ve been playing non-stop since he got here. The cats aren’t so sure, but that would just take time.

Buster

We aren’t sure how much training he’s had, he can sit and is housebroken, but beyond his manners need some work. Like a lot of small dogs, he wants to be up on the furniture, but that’s a no-no in our house - you must be invited up. He tried his hardest yesterday to change our minds, but he kept ended back up on the floor. Hmpf. Jef had to remind me that it took two years to get Lucy to where she is. She went through training classes and has owners who are consistent with her. Buster has had none of that, but is learning fast and eager to please. He only tried to jump up a few times today and as I type he is curled up asleep in his bed on the floor.

Also, he’s tiny and you all know how I feel about miniature things. He’s like a puppy that will never get any bigger.

Done worn out

P.S. - ‘Buster’ is his shelter name, we’re not so sure about it.
