My dad always says “You learn something new every day if you start out dumb enough.” This weekend I learned:

Curtains change the entire look of a room. We FINALLY hung our first pair of curtains in the house (I know, right, it’s about time!). We hung them in the common room upstairs and it’s become a totally different space. I want to spend all my time there.

Christmas lights make it feel like Christmas, even if it’s 80 degrees out.

Taxi in Lithuanian is spelled “Taksi.” Easy enough. (Compliments of Amazing Race)

The best thing to do with leftover fried rice is to re-fry it. My new favorite method is w/ a little oil, some curry powder, red chili flakes, raisins (or other dried fruit) re-hydrated in a little chicken stock, and chopped peanuts. This might sound weird, but it’s a re-make of my favorite rice dish, Pineapple Fried Rice, from Firebowl, a local Asian restaurant in Texas.
