Lacey & Julia - Married!

Lacey and Julia were married on September 5, 2010 at the beautiful Creekside in Driftwood, Texas. Lacey is my friend, David's, daughter, and I had the honor of shooting the wedding along with two other close friends and photographers, Susan Beth Sloan and Dan Noack. David is also a photographer, so it was fitting that there were so many of us capturing the event.

The couple was actually married a few months ago in a civil ceremony in California (where they live), but wanted to have a full blown affair here in Texas with family and friends. I can honestly say it was one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever had the pleasure to shoot. I don't know how to explain it other than there was an unusual calmness over the day. Oh, there was plenty of excitement too, but between it all, a special sweetness I feel honored to have witnessed.
