Rockin' Mama's Day Celebration

Yesterday I participated in the Rockin' Mama's Day Celebration at the Community Renaissance Market along with some great folks. There sweet treats and cupcake decorating with Objects of Confection, Sugar Tooth Bakery, CakeMaker 3000 and SugarPOP Sweet Shop. We also had cool jewelry from Not So Dotty and That Clever Chick. And Kathy Phantastic had wicked cool paper crafts (brides, you NEED to see these).

I had some fine art photo cards and prints for sale (if you missed it, you can check those out over on Etsy). I also had a photobooth, which was a huge hit w/ the kids. Can you say 'dress up'?!  Here are some of my favorite pics from the photobooth. The rest are here.

Thanks to Jess from Objects of Confection for organizing such a fun event. Can't wait to do it again!

A Day at the Park with the Johanson's

A family, a park and a LOT of laughing. Is there a better way to spend a Satuday? Oh my gosh, we had fun. These boys are SO sweet, they made sure to hold my hand crossing the street, they're VERY polite, and did I mention the laughing?

Bluebonnets!

Bluebonnets are a big deal in Austin, they're a sure sign of spring and I'm pretty sure it's state law that everyone have their picture taken with them. This year's bluebonnet crop was particularly amazing, something to do with all the fall and winter rains. I don't think I've ever seen so many wildflowers in my life!

Harrison didn't like the bluebonnets QUITE as much as we did.

His favorite spot was on the sidewalk. Away from all the pesky flowers.

The Big '1'

Harrison is the big '1' this week! He's a mover and a shaker, walking all over the house. And what's the best part about turning 1? You get a whole cake ALL to yourself.

Happy Birthday, Harrison!

On the whole cake there was only a few tiny specs of black, and of COURSE that's what he went for. For the first few minutes it looked like he had a tiny mustache. It was pretty funny.

A little for me, a little for you.

The best part. Smash the cake!
